ballerinas and weddings.

that was, in a nutshell, what my weekend consisted of.

3 of my 4 nieces had their ballet recital on saturday. so of course being the awesome aunt that i was, i had to head over to my hometown to help them get ready, take pictures, and watch the show.
ya'll. it was too stinking cute for words! those girls have my heart and i cherish every minute i'm able to watch them grow up.

i love the fact that my sister and her husband put them in ballet- and i love even more that the girls enjoy it.
i'm actually a little jealous that they enjoy it so much. the one year i tried ballet as a kid, i ended up throwing my prop off stage and sitting down crying. yeah- i wasn't a big fan of dancing in public. (until college, obviously)

saturday evening M and i had yet another wedding to attend.
this one was in the town we live in, thankfully, but we still had to bust our butts to make it on time (the ballet recital ended right before the wedding began... and they were in towns 45 minutes from each other). 
so to say that i was a little rushed and frustrated might have been an understatement. but all of the running around was so worth it.
it's stuff like that you can't afford to miss, people!
and ending our night at a wedding with amazing friends is always worth it.

obviously sunday we did absolutely nothing.
well- except sleep in, eat really bad junk food, and watch movies.
and trust me, that's just what we needed.
