the amount of things i was able to squeeze into this one weekend is still amazing me. i'm serious... a double date night, a golf tournament, a pumpkin festival, an entire family dinner at my parent's house for their anniversary, a night out, a hungover morning, a third birthday party, a drive home, and finally a night on my couch with a great movie.
i'm ex-haus-tedddd this morning!
but i'm loving that i got to see so many wonderful people over the last few days!
friday night matt and i headed to franklin to spend the weekend doing all of the above. i didn't realize at the time just how much i had planned (and i'm not a planner by any means). things just sort of kept happening. sidenote: i've realized i'm much more carefree when i don't plan and i just go with the flow. i usually stress out over details, but this is all a part of my letting go, and letting God mantra.
moving on...
we spent friday night at my friend
jennifer and LT's cooking supper, watching movies, and being old people. the best part?
playing with their puppy dogs!
saturday morning we woke up bright and early for a golf tournament in memory of my best friend stephanie's momma. she fought an 11 year battle with cancer and we lost her last fall. she was an incredible woman who touched so many lives by her strength!
the golf tournament was called Cindy's Wish and it raised money for a cancer fund that is going to help pay the medical bills of one cancer fighter each year.

saturday after the tournament we met my sister and her 4 beautiful little girls downtown for the pumpkin fest!! there was trick or treating, lots of costumes, too much food, and dancing to bluegrass music. this is one of the things i miss most about my hometown and i look forward to it every year!

that night we had dinner at my parent's house to celebrate their anniversary!
then we made our way over to the (only) bar in town for some live music.
sunday was just as busy.
we headed over to my sister's house for my niece mya's 3rd birthday party. it was dora themed, like the last 2 years have been. lots of cake, babies, family, presents, and dora. it was fun, but boyyy were we wore out!
