a blonde's confessions.

and these are my confessions...
(yes, like the usher song.) you know you're singing it too. and you know you want to lick his body just as much as i do... or do you?
ugh, anyways... with the beautiful, and blonde (duh), leslie at a blonde ambition - we love her just fyi.
i confess...

that i didn't watch a single second of shark week, nor do i care. i am already a freak about the ocean so the last thing you want is me watching an entire week of man eaters swimming around.

that i am beyond excited for halloween!! i love dressing up and i'm pretty obsessed with finding a costume for this year. no, i don't know my halloween plans yet, but that will come later.
the outfit first!!
maybe an owl, maybe a taco bell sauce, maybe hello kitty, maybe a box of wine, maybe a mustache, maybe a piece of sushi. who knows. the opportunities are endless!!

that i left my hibachi leftovers in my car last night after our jap outing and i seriously thought i might cry this morning... anddd i'm still considering eating it anyways for lunch. that shrimp sauce is crack in a bottle, ya'll. for real. so if i die of food poisoning you will know why.
but in real life- could i die?
i probably shouldn't eat it- should i?

the main reason i want fall to get here so badly is for the fashion... or lack there of to be quite honest. because let's get real here- we all love throwing on a pair of leggings, tall socks, boots, a sweater, and a scarf... and calling it a day. by far my favorite (and coziest) thing to wear.

that i have a 3 day weekend. na na na na boooo booo!!!
hi i'm 5.

8.30.2012

it's okay boo boo.

well honey boo boo did it again.
she somehow managed to have my jaw nailed to the floor in shock, while having to remind myself to breathe in between laughter. seriously this kid and her family is redneckulous.

yes honey boo boo said that her stomach pains were just gas from all the chicken nuggets. and we can't forget about the water park... mama honey boo boo almost got stuck in a tube, she showed her fork lift foot, and went down a water slide causing a legit tidal wave- her kids then had to pull the tube off of her after the lazy river because it got stuck on the woman's 300lb body. no lie. i died.
sister's family is funny, redneck and trashy as hell, but funny.
go watch it now. you can thank me later.

moving on to thursday.
in which tomorrow is friday. hallejuerrrrrr!!! so ready. so so ready.
Its Ok Thursdays
it's okayyyy....
that i can't stop watching ridiculous tv shows like the one talked about above.
just. can't. help. myself.

that if ryan lochte is legit chosen as the next bachelor i may or may not have a heart attack and might even consider applying for the show. i mean holla fo a dolla, seck-say swimmer in the house!!! i mean, shit. this could be trouble.

that my 25th birthday is coming up in october and i've already planned multiple weekends of celebrations. birthdays are supposed to last the whole month, aren't they?

to be excited about football season only for the tailgating, beer, and boys. no other reasons really. mainly because i don't know jack about the actual sport.

that i just noticed the other day that the hanging flowers on our porch haven't been watered in oh, 2-3 weeks, and are surprisingly still alive. go us!!! maybe my home isn't a place plants come to die after all.

hump day and nothing truly important.

my sleeping habits have seriously got to get themselves under control.
they be actin all cray cray up in here lately.
i'm kind of hoping that instead of sleep walking and talking i am somehow going to start sleep exercising. i mean really though, how perfect would that be?
kind of like that woman they caught sleep swimming.
although with my luck i would end up sleep drowning instead.
but i guess as long as i'm not sleep eating i really can't complain. the mental image of me sitting in front of my fridge at 3am stuffing my face is pretty amusing though. i would hope my roommate would be able to get a picture if that ever happens.
why am i talking about sleeping (again)? probably because i didn't get any last night (sleep people, get your head outta the gutter) because my sub conscious was being rude and i kept waking up thinking i was talking about blog designs- maybe i was, maybe i wasn't. never can tell.
which is why i have already taken 2 power naps at my desk this morning and plan to spend my afternoon break doing the same thing.

i digress...

it's wednesday. hump a hump hump day. so naturally i'm going crazy trying to make it to the weekend. my 3 day weekend to be exact. the one in which i have no plans what so ever and i am looking forward to it more than i'm looking forward to miley cyrus getting a weave. but seriously, i would like to know what liam has to say about this. i mean come on, not everyone gets engaged to a miley and ends up with a draco malfoy.

have you ever wondered what it would be like to be an actor? i do, all of the time. i feel like i am always judging the people in movies and tv shows and thinking to myself
what do they have that i don't? what makes them so damn special? they look just like any other normal person in the world. and seriously, i'm prettier than her.
haha okay, totally kidding about that last one.... but not really.
i sometimes wish i would have been born a midget. i feel like i would have had a better chance at getting on the big screen. think about it- you don't see a big variety in midget stars, so any time a midget was needed for a movie- BOOM. role landed.
in any event, i am glad i did not turn out to be a midget. nothing against midgets or anything but i don't know that i would want ludacris singing about me.
"watch out for the medallion my diamonds are reckless.
feels like i got a midget hanging from my necklace."
you remember the song, i know you do.
and if you don't... youtube stand up by luda.

anyways,
you're welcome for this post. i hope you got a lot out of it.

baby's getting a new look.

things are starting to look a little different around here! what do you think so far? it's definitely still a work in progress... but i'm getting there.
i had been browsing around for some blog designs that i admired and pricing designers that i have stumbled upon when i thought- why can't i do this?
it may not be as good as a professional blog design, but with my indecisiveness i figure this will do for now. and as the blog grows, as will either my nack for html... or my frustration, in which i will just break down and pay for someone to do it for me.
so here we are for now.
feel free to share any tips on blog design!

and on a completely unrelated note- today is tuesday... which means tonight we will be saying goodbye to 4 years of ultimate baby mama drama with the final episode everrrrr of the original teen mom. not gonna lie- pretty sad about this.
my roommate and i love us some maci, kyle, bentley, and ryan. a tennessee trip to meet them may or may not be in the works.

when a pansy overcomes her fears.

uhhhh, so let me just tell you what a pansy i am.
i left friday after work to drive to charlotte... got about 45 minutes away when the bottom of the sky fell out and i pulled off at a gas station because i was having the world's worst panic attack. i'm talking sobbing tears, shaking hands, and uneasy stomach... and breathing? yeah i wasn't doing that.
so then guess what i did?? i turned around.
i. turned. around... and went back home, because i was too scared to drive through the storms. how awful is that??
now, in my defense, this was my first long distance trip without anyone else in the car with me, i am deathly afraid of storms, and the tread on my tires is almost non-existent. so i had a few things working against me.
if you knew me then you would know that #1. i hate, and i mean hate, storms of any kind. they freak me out and i have a legit fear of them. if i don't have anxiety medicine handy for when a bad storm comes through you might as well go ahead and call 911 because i'm going to have a panic attack. #2. i have another legit fear of tractor trailers. i seriously cannot handle driving anywhere near them, and if i have to pass one i end up going 90mph just so i can get by it as quickly as i can. and then i'm having to slow down because the speed limit is 60. it's bad. #3. i am the world's worst when it comes to driving on the highway. i will do everything in my power to avoid them and i will find every back road ever created just to stay off of them. #4. do not ever put me in a car by myself- i simply cannot drive anywhere long distance alone.
so of course when all of my plans to ride with a friend fell through for every reason imaginable... i was stuck with either cancelling my trip or making the drive by myself.

i was pretty disappointed in myself to be quite honest. i had been looking forward to this trip for quite some time and i had my mind set on leaving friday night so i could enjoy a full weekend out of town. although, i did have a great time when i finally got myself turned around and back home.
out for drinks with girlfriends after my traumatic experience.
even though i had a fun friday night after all, i still wish i would have just kept driving. however, my mom instilled in my head that it just wasn't meant to happen. and that God put those fears in me for a reason. she is one supportive, inspiring, and incredible woman ya'll. love her.
anywho, saturday morning i woke up with a new found determination. and my mom on the phone reminding me that if i couldn't drive even 2.5 hours by myself then it would forever hold me back from doing things that i want to. she told me that the only way i was going to overcome my ridiculous fears was to face them head on. she was so encouraging and persistent that i knew i had to make the drive.
so i stopped thinking about it. started praying. and headed to charlotte.
and guess what- i did just fine.
and i have never been more proud of myself.
granted, the weather was gorgeous both saturday and sunday but i still did it. and i had one heck of a good time with all of my friends.
i overcame my fear of highways, tractor trailers, and driving alone.
the storm part i am still working out... but i'll get there.

i only ended up with a few pictures from our night out for tori's birthday. but once i get my hands on some more i will be sure to share!
tori, birthday girl and absolute bestie.
this was meant to be a good picture... but then matt got cut out and ryan wasn't ready. they're still two of my favorite boys in the world though.
maddie, my sleeping buddy for the night!!
and there you have it,

asn. not to be confused with asl.

anyone remember the days of AIM? you know the messenger where you had more emoticons then you knew what to do with, you told everyone you'd BRB because you were in the shower, you used it to flirt with random boys who were probably old stalker men, and emailing quickly became a thing of the past? pretty sure my screen-name was something like lusciouslips, or bigbootybabe. classy middle school days, i know.

well brie, taylor, and erin decided they were going to start a link up known as asn- always/sometimes/never. not to be confused with the asl that was associated with AIM ... you know, age/sex/location. trust me, this is classier, and safer... sometimes.

The Daily Tay

i always have 3 alarms set each morning during the work week.
i sometimes hit snooze so many times that it becomes one big, long, loud alarm.
i never wake up thinking that smashing it against the wall isn't a good idea (but then i remember my alarm is on my phone and realize i shouldn't do so).

i always wish i was back at my ol' alma mater, western carolina.
i sometimes realize this would be bad for my health, my bank account, and my liver.
i never make a trip to western without having to recover for a week because i act like i'm a student there again. dumb.

i always think i am a master at DIY pinterest projects.
i sometimes try them.
they never turn out as i imagine, or hope, them to.

i always miss my baby, ava grace.
i sometimes wish i hadn't given her away and would have stuck it out to make things work.
i remind myself that i seriously never would have made a better decision for her, and me. she was huge, ya'll.

i am always looking for something new to come along.
i sometimes want to move far, far away.
i never actually do... or i haven't just yet anyways.

visit them, follow them, link up with them.

pinteresting: fall edition.

let's just go ahead and admit it. we're all ready for fall.
the crisp autumn air, football games, bonfires, scarves, boots, changing leaves, and of course- pumpkin beer!!! it's all just a part of my absolute favorite time of year... and it's just around the corner!!
we had our own mini bonfire going monday night. puppy included.

in celebration of this, we're linking up for oh how pinteresting wednesday, with the beautiful michelle at the vintage apple, for some fall inspired pins. while we're at it, you should probably follow me on pinterest as well. just sayin'.

tuesday tuneage.

i'm such a sucker for music.
i think it's probably one of my most serious addictions.
i honestly cannot drive, work, get ready, cook, or really anything without having some kind of music playing. it's what keeps me going. i love when i find a song that describes exactly what i am feeling or going through at the time. it just makes me happy. and then i play the thing on repeat for oh, a week straight, and then i hate it. thank God for youtube. otherwise i would go broke buying music that i will be tired of in a few days.
so today i'm sharing a few of my current favorites... you get to see my ridiculously random taste in music.
now have a little listen... and go dance around at your desk like i am.

happy tunesday!

8.20.2012

nieces, fundraisers, and a roxy.

i feel like every monday all i want to do is crawl back in bed and all i want to blog about is my weekend, because let's face it, we always wish we could go back and that it would have lasted longer.

friday night my sister and all 4 nieces came to have a sleepover at my house. i took them over to lake junaluska to feed the ducks and get some energy out on the playground. we all enjoyed ourselves until we had to run for cover from the snapping geese. holy smokes, those things are vicious!!

saturday we went to the indoor pool/small water park for the day. we attempted to get some sun at one of the public outdoor pools, but the lingering storm clouds weren't allowing it. we had more fun on the water slides, anyways.

that night i went out to listen to a friend's band play at this place downtown called the gateway club. they were preforming to raise money for the local high school baseball team. it was a win, win situation. dancing AND raising money? i'm there.

sunday i snuggled up with ms. roxy. the cutest little cockapoo this side of the mississippi!! the rooms and i are puppy-sitting her for the week! i may just have to pretend like she's mine and not give her back.

how was your weekend lovelies?

castles, weddings, and babies. oh my!

what. a. weekend.
i swear i think it was one of the best ones yet, but then again i find myself saying that far too often these days. not a bad thing though, am i right?
friday i spent my night watching movies, painting nails, and downright relaxing. it was fabulous and much needed after my hellacious work week!! plus, i needed a night to be lazy and prepare myself for the rest of the weekend.

saturday was my sorority sister jessica's wedding up at castle ladyhawke... which is a legit castle right past where we all went to college, at western carolina university.
i cannot explain how gorgeous this place was in person and how much fun we all had- so i will just let the pictures do all of the talking. after the wedding we ended up stopping at our favorite old stomping grounds... o'malley's pub and then rabbit ridge apartments. seeing old (and new) sisters is always a great time. the bond i share with these ladies is incredible. we can go months, even years, without seeing each other and then reunite like no time has passed at all!! enjoy...
beautiful, beautiful, beautiful.
a few of my sisters that were there!!
i'm addicted to babies. i always find them. and this little aiden was no exception!
sunday i met up with my family at camp living water in bryson city, nc. it borders an area called deep creek, which is a river that people from all over come to tube down. let me just say, it was a blast!! the camp area had volley ball courts, soccer fields, a pool, a picnic area, a zipline, and a rope tower. the kids had more fun than they could have ever imagined... and my nieces are definitely more adventurous than i am! we are already planning to spend an entire weekend here in september!
that would be my 8 yr old niece lexi at the top. yep, braver than her 24 yr old aunt.
what i did most of the day- played with baby sophia.
meet layla, my niece. she's a mess, like her aunt.

hope everyone had a great weekend as well!

dear God:
once again, you amaze me. i can be going through the absolute worst time in my life and there you are lifting me back up. i just pray i can show others the joy you bring and help them see how wonderful you are... how your grace and love never fails. thank you for everything.

dear jessica and jake:
YOU'RE GETTING MARRIED TOMORROW!!! IN A CASTLE!!! AND I'M GOING!!! i'm just a little excited for you guys. and for celebrating in a real life castle. maybe a little more excited about the castle part... kidddddding!!! maybe. see you tomorrow, beauties!!
jessica and jake. castle ladyhawke- tuckasegee, nc

dear honey boo boo child:
oh.my.word. people like you all really exist??? i just can't get over it. but for some odd reason- i just can't get enough. pretty sure my roommate and i have quoted your "dolla makes me holla honey boo boo" a million times. don't be surprised when we show up to one of your pageants as your biggest fans... covered in mud, eating cheese balls, and playing with our bellies.
we just wanna fit in.
via.

dear naked grape:
you are my new favorite wine. and you're on sale at ingles? $6 a bottle? i think i should try all of you.
via- my phone.

dear domestication:
thank you for gracing us with your present in our household last night. we were somewhat proud of ourselves. maybe you want to stay a while?
via- my phone. pretend like you've never seen me in glasses. thanks.
