small town raised and small town living. i was born and bread a true southern belle. well i like to think i was anyways.

i am a Christian. that is the most important thing to know about me.

all of my pictures are taken with the hand on hip, skinny arm pose.
i catch a lot of grief for this. but honestly, i don't think it's possible for me not to do it.

i am a Delta Zeta alumna.

i am 5'4" and have midget fingers and toes.

i live in the appalachian mountains of western NC.

i have 4 nieces that i adore more than anything in this world. yes, they are all 4 my sister's. and yes, we all feel bad for her husband. he is one amazing man for living in a house with a total of 5 women.

i am a social worker and i long to change the world. my ultimate passion in this life is to one day do something to help facilitate international adoptions. if i had my choice in what i could be doing right now... it would be spending half of my time in the states finding families for children overseas, and the other half living within an orphanage in kenya loving those precious babies.

 

i used to have a giant dog. her name is ava and she is a great dane/bull mastiff mix that now lives on an 11 acre farm in the mountains. i miss her every day and getting rid of her was the hardest decision i've made to this day. but trust me- she is so much happier where she is now... and my anxiety level is much lower.
